I reached out to Karen and Roswell Fitness in December 2016 after being diagnosed with some health issues, including anemia and possible thyroid issues. My doctor suggested seeing a nutritionist was the first step. I was gaining weight rapidly, sleeping ~12 hours a day and living with an unhealthy relationship with food, resulting in an unhealthy relationship with my body.

In our first few meetings, Karen not only analyzed my current blood work and diet, but also spoke with me about goals. I came in with a weight number solely because of the number and a photo of me in my wedding dress, asking how to get rid of "back rolls".

Karen worked with me on multiple things ranging from creating a custom plan on what food I should be eating daily (macros, calorie ranges, and food to help combat anemia), to helping me understand the science of food and how it affects our bodies. She then worked on my relationship with food and weight to shift my goals to focus on my muscle %, fat % and hydration.

I worked with Karen for 6 months until I had to switch to a "maintain" mindset for my alterations appointment for my wedding dress. While I knew I had lost weight, it was incredible to actually see the change in my body to have to take the dress in.

I felt like a different person on my wedding day and am thankful for this journey and everything Roswell Nutrition has taught me this far. I have completed the first phase with Karen but still have work to do in this journey and building habits to last a lifetime to permanently affect my health in positive ways. I can't wait to see where I'll be in 6 months with the help of Karen and Roswell Nutrition.
